Family Literacy Programs
Workshops and take-home resources that empower parents and caregivers to actively support their child's reading, writing, and academic growth at every stage of development. According to the National Institutes of Health, as cited by the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, a parent's literacy level is the strongest predictor of a child's future academic success, outweighing neighborhood and family income. When families learn together, children succeed.
Health & Wellness Navigation
Connections to health screenings, dental care, mental health support, and community wellness programs throughout Palm Beach County, because a healthy child is a ready learner. Children without consistent access to healthcare are significantly more likely to miss tutoring sessions and fall behind academically.
Nutrition & Food Access
Connecting families with local food banks, community meal programs, and nutritional resources so that no child arrives at a tutoring session hungry or unable to focus. According to research from No Kid Hungry and Deloitte, students with consistent access to nutritious meals score 17.5 percent higher on standardized math tests and attend 1.5 more days per year than their food-insecure peers.
